Coffee Prince Ep. 7&8

Up until this week's episodes, I've been trying to give the character, Han Yoo Joo, the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the way she treats the men in her life, but that all changed. She knows that both Han Kyul and Han Seong like her very much and she still strings them along. It seems like it's fun to her and to add to this, her ex-boyfriend, the one she dated after Han Seong, is in town and wants her back. Instead of telling him how much she loves her current boyfriend, Han Seong, she seems to welcome his advances with childlike wonderment. She has three men in her life and she does not seem to know what she wants. I think she should figure that out first and stop stringing all of these men along. Up until this point, she is the biggest flirt on the show.

Another female character that is annoying is Eun Chan's sister, Eun Sae. She treats Min Yeop like dirt while he worships the ground she walks on. She comes from a poor family yet she acts like she is better than Min Yeop. The character, Jin Ha Rim, tried to help him out by telling him that he should just forget about Eun Sae and move on. I thought it was sound advice, but Min Yeop is proving to be a bigger fool than I expected. For that reason, I think Min Yeop is also annoying and pathetic. I hope in the coming episodes that he finds another woman who appreciates him and begins a relationship with her. However, in true drama form, he will probably stick around and take more of Eun Sae's verbal abuse until something happens and she finally falls for him. I hope someone will finally become wise and stop using this formula.

On the other hand, one female character that really seemed to shine was Han Kyul's grandmother. In earlier episodes, it seemed like she was this mean, tough old woman, but now I feel like she was just misunderstood. All she seems to want is for her family to know how to function once she is gone. This is especially the case when it comes to Han Kyul. On a side note, when you see him and Eun Chan together, you see two different personalities intersecting. On one hand, you have Han Kyul, who seems like he has never really grown up an on the other hand, you have Eun Chan who seems like she had to grow up very fast after her father died. It was also interesting to see the way the grandmother and Eun Chan began to get along. I would not be surprised if the grandmother already knows that Eun Chan is a woman and has just decided not to say anything. You can see the similarities between the two characters. Both of them are tough and say whatever is on their minds. They are also both loud and have no problem putting Han Kyul in his place. I think the reason why Han Kyul likes Eun Chan is that she reminds him of his grandmother. He really seems to like that type of woman, which may be rare in Korean society. Due to this rarity, I think that is why he has not found a woman that he really wants to settle down with (besides Han Yoo Joo, but everybody wants to settle down with her). Only time will tell what happens and we shall see how everything plays out.

I think that Han kyul and Eun Chan are getting started their love and Han sung gradually
falls into Eun Chan gradually. I believe that han sung is attracted by eun chan’s appeals
of her personal character although yoo joo is prettier than eun chan!! , after all Han
    Sung impulsively kissed Eun chan.
Han kyul seems to be tortured by Eun Chan because he still recognizes Eun Chan as a
guy, but he still loves her. So Han kyul goes to hospital to check up his sexual identity
Likewise, Eun Chan gradually loves him, for instance she is jealous of yoo joo who is very
close with Han kyul, also Eun Chan hopes to become han-kyul’s girl friend, however Eun
Chan concerns about that if she reveals her secret, she would be fired and can’t see Han
Kyul anymore. Also she worries about too difference social class between her and Han
    kyul.
So they make a decision to became sworn brother because a lot of obstacle which are
Sexual identity, social class, economic problem prevent their love and they still want to
    Stay by each side.
And these episodes, han kyul’s secret of birth is revealed by han kyul when he drinks
with his father. The secret could explain us to understand why han kyul have wandered
after high school. Also han kyul seriously consider to come back to home and company
because of grandmother’s sick. I think the sick, loving for eun chan make han kyul
    changing.
