Coffee Prince Ep. 5 & 6

I thought Eunchan leaving the milk for Hankyul with messages on the carton was cute even though the milk was about to expire haha. In episode 5, we see Hankyul growing fond of Eunchan more. She tells Hankyul why he should show interest in Minyup quitting and he ends up finding Minyup later and offering his job back. Hankyul also hurts himself saving Eunchan from incoming traffic. He even gives her a toy robot that he made and she joyfully plays with it.

In episode 5, Minyup finds out Eunchan is a girl when she walks out of the women’s bath house. Bath houses or saunas are common in Korea so this is another portrayal of Asian society. Minyup’s character is adorable how he protects Eunchan now that he knows she’s a girl. He makes sure the boys don’t get too close to her. Also when Hankyul makes her carry heavy objects, he volunteers to carry it for her.

Hansung has to deal with Yooju’s issue of commitment to work and not thinking about marriage. He gives her a lot trouble about it. He is also dealing with his growing feelings for Eunchan. He finds himself waiting for her to stop by his house when she delivers milk. When Eunchan hears he is waiting for her, she happily sings which suggests she is falling for him. Probably adding more to the reasons why she’s falling for him is he sees her as a girl opposed to Hankyul seeing her as a man. Hansung invites Eunchan to the opening of Yooju’s art gallery and has Eunchan receive high class treatment with a complete makeover, something she is not used to being from a lower class. I have to say she looks so gorgeous with the wig, makeup, and dress. The way Hansung looked at her when she is femininely dressed up shows he is definitely falling in love with her. I felt bad for Eunchan when she finds out Yooju is at the gallery and is in fact Girl B, the girl who Hansung likes and has been talking about. It was heartbreaking to watch Eunchan crying on the bus over Guy A and Girl B and how there is no room for her.

However, I love the bonding scene afterwards with Eunchan and Hankyul. They both used each other for comfort to get over Hansung and Yooju. They seemed so laid back and comfortable with each other so it was easier to forget their problems. Hankyul wonders why Eunchan was the one he called when he was feeling sad and he finds himself affectionately touching her face while she was sleeping. At the end of episode 6, he hugs her to see if he feels anything for her. More feelings are developing between everyone.

Another thing I like is Eunchan openly tells Hansung that she likes him. It’s not one of those dramas where the main girl drags on the confession or can't tell if she’s in love.
