Coffee Prince Ep. 7 & 8

In these two episodes, Hankyul has to deal a lot with fighting against his emotions because he is falling for Eunchan, who he still thinks is a guy. He tries to deny his feelings for her and finds himself to keep looking at her picture and caring for her which causes him to be frustrated since he is showing affection for a “man.” Because Hankyul refuses to admit his feelings for Eunchan, he picks on little things to bicker with her about. In episode 8, Eunchan admits to Hankyul that she likes him which just stresses Hankyul out even more with his emotions. Since he doesn’t know how to handle his emotions, he realizes that he still wants Eunchan next to his side and proposes they become brothers. Eunchan agrees because she also realizes she wants to be with him but can not reveal her identity due to the risk of not being able to be close to Hankyul again. It was surprising that Eunchan kissed Hankyul at the end of episode 7 though. It was out of no where. I really wasn’t expecting that since Eunchan hasn't revealed she's a girl yet which would make it more confusing and awkward for Hankyul.

Some jealousy erupts between Eunchan and Hankyul. Hankyul gets jealous when Eunchan receives a call from Hansung and talks really friendly to him. Eunchan also gets jealous when she wanted to meet up with Hankyul but finds Yooju with him. Eunchan had made breakfast for Hankyul and hoped to eat with him but then her mood changed when Hankyul ate Yooju’s breakfast instead. Also in episode 8, when Eunchan saw Hankyul lying in Yooju’s lap, Eunchan gets upset because she spent most of her time comforting Hankyul but sees Hankyul close with Yooju instead of her. Yooju seems to also be jealous of Eunchan by how she is young, lively, and how everyone seems to be comfortable around her.

Eunchan’s secret is slowly being revealed as Sunki finds out by Minyub. I really feel sorry for Minyub though because of the way Eunsae treats him.

What I don’t like is Hankyul’s grandmother having stomach cancer. It is so typical in a drama that someone will end up with cancer. I don’t really see the point of it besides making Hankyul shaping up to be more responsible. However, I do like the way Hankyul cares for his grandmother and mother which shows importance of family closeness.

Also, Hansung finally decides to kiss Eunchan but it’s sad at this time Eunchan has already developed stronger feelings for Hankyul.
