coffee prince EpS 15/16

These episodes are funny! But it shows a lot of the characters breaking away from tradition.
First off, we hear Han Kyol proposing to Eun Chan, and while she accepts the proposal, she does not rush into marriage. His reaction to her seems as if she is rejecting him but the issue is actually more surprising because not too often that women would hold off their marriage for that long. Even her sister is surprised by Eun Chan's time frame. She even suggests that if Eun Chan waits too long he might cheat on her. But what we really see is the new generation as well as transnational ideas coming into play as women are taking on new goals and careers instead of marraige and child bearing.

then there is also the issue of the female purity in the asian culture. Sex before marriage can be looked down upon for the woman. Yet here, there urgency to have sex questions the traditional attitudes. And another thing for the woman to go to the man's house that late is also surprising. Was that a heated passion or love? I guess we're suppose to think it was love, but dang it seemed like Han Kyol less of an urgency than Eun Chan. Her hormones were running high!
